been wearing A LOT of black and white this summer time so it's nice to accessorise with orange. he's my colour pop!

have found it hard to wear anything but these white Next sandals they are so comfy and a stylish steal at £30. I also treated myself to this ASOS kimono I love how it drapes and it's oversized look - I feel like a chic wizard when I wear it haha.

i keep forgetting.

i'm not in love anymore.
i keep forgetting things will never be the same again

London Swag. or something.

quite amazingly i got invited along to be apart of the 'London Swag' March Faces Shopcade photo shoot.
i pretty much hate having my photo taken and get very nervous when being interviewed but my flattered ego got the better of me and i decided to go along and take part. the kid screaming over my babble half way through is priceless also.

because being a dickhead is cool. or something. pt.2

after watching yesterday's explosion of, being a dickhead's cool, i literally went on an absolute youtube click-athon linking from video to video.  i had no idea this kind of social and sartorial commentary even existed, let alone such a comprehensive collection of reactions to alternative subcultures, in all its glory, or not should i say.  the content is all there from hipsters, scenesters, emos to the indie kids, unfortunately mostly trans Atlantic commentary but it'll do:  from the very well observed footage and the absolute joke shoppers to the quite worryingly serious video attempts.  it was completely absorbing and weirdly surreal. basically now i know exactly what music to listen to, how to dance, what to wear and how style my hair, all courtesy of some little nibbler 'upstate'. yeah cheers love.

found this subtly jokes treat called Obscure and Pretentious.
i like it because i know so many real life music boys like this.
strangely attractive idiots.

snakeskin styling overkill?

The look in question are my gorgeous vintage Russell & Bromley real snakeskin courts teamed with snakeskin socks.
It is probably a bit much but I quite like how it is a kind of jokey combination.  Fuck double denim we're talking double snakeskin here.  They are quite a serious, grown up type shoe for me and wanted to inject some goofiness.  Seems fine.
The shoes come courtesy of the mother bear, she was clearing the wardrobe and came across these lovelies.
I was quick to snap them up of course.  Way back when, she was once a Russell & Bromley shop girl, wishing she had more swag too show for it though considering we are ditto size.
Gave the shoes a little t l c, a re-heel and what not, the leather soles will need to be done at some point too, when the funds allow.
I know its a bit much but I just couldn't help but team the shoes with nude snake skin socks.  The socks in question were once actually tights but not being a massive wearer of patterned tights, thought I'd give them a new lease of life.  Find patterned tights, especially in light colours, are not the most flattering on anything but stick legs, which *sigh* I am not blessed with.

Talking of actual snakeskin overkill look too Couture Maison Martin Margiela and the Artisanal line for AW10.

Had a little try on with the black sheer polka dot and the grey wool ankle socks too, for a more standard affair of the heart.
Anyway have decided they are a winning sock shoe, shame now that the warm is over.  Time to invest in some knee highs me thinks, especially with the sanctioning of MMM on the snakeskin for winter...

summer rags.

well bored of the summer rags now.  but seems fine.
